Scholarships can be one of the most important parts of a student’s application process. They can be the difference between going to school affordably, and financial hardship. They can also allow professionals to take advantage of higher education opportunities ­­ furthering their chances to enrich professional career development.

TodaysNurse not only promotes the careers of our current members, but also strives to develop the success of the next generation of medical professionals. The INA Scholarship is designed to help deserving students attain their educational goals, meet their professional objectives, and succeed to their fullest ability. We believe that those pursuing education should be recognized for their efforts.

We grant numerous scholarships throughout the year, and hope to help ease a portion of the financial burden that many students are dealing with. Winners are awarded a financial endowment, certificate of recognition, and honorable mention in our Nurse Advisor magazine.

Can I apply for this scholarship?

This scholarship is open to members of the TodaysNurse (INA) only, as it is a benefit of membership to the association. As soon as you become a member, you’re automatically eligible to apply, so long as you are pursuing nursing education, whether it be your nursing degree, or a higher level of certification. Okay, I’m a member. Now what?

If you are an INA member and are pursuing your nursing degree or a higher level of education, you can reach out to benefits@inanurse.com for a scholarship application. From that point forward, your application will be examined by TodaysNurse Scholarship Committee, who carefully review each submission in order to choose the most deserving applicant.

Is this a new benefit to the association?

No, this is not a new benefit. TodaysNurse has been granting educational scholarships since 2012. So far, five recipients have been awarded a total of $4,000 in scholarship funding. A minimum of $500 is granted per award.

How is the INA Scholarship different from other scholarships?

TodaysNurse Scholarship differs from other awards in that each applicant is already proven to be an exemplary healthcare student, demonstrated by his or her membership with the Association.

TodaysNurse Scholarship examines the following criteria:

1. Schools you’re attending/planning to attend

2. Degree you aim to earn upon graduation

3. Full professional and educational background

4. Current nursing certifications

5. Reason for choosing a nursing career
